L & W Sports Communications in Auckland
L & W Sports Communications have recently introduced it's speciality half duplex communications system into NZ Rugby competitions. Following a successful trial in the provincial Heartland Rugby Competition, the L & W Sports Communications system was introduced to the Auckland Rugby Referees. Mike Elliott from Auckland Rugby supervised the smooth transition of the half duplex system and I was fortunate enough to be able to attend the openening game of the season at Mike's old club Marist Brother Old Boys RFC at Ellerslie.
We are also very Proud to announce that L & W Sports Communications will be sponsoring the Auckland Rugby Referees in a three year deal agreed earlier this month.
In addition to Auckland we also welcome the Counties Manakau Rugby Referees. Chairman Glen Blackwell, Nigel Bradley and I met in January and I had the opportunity to demonstrate our latest equipment. This month they took delivery of the communications kits and Glen informs me that the system has been a complete success with members very impressed by the simplicity and audio quality. He also commented on the big advancement it has made in on-field decision making.

New Headsets and PTT Button
"Fantastic"
That has been the overwhelming opinion of our customers using the new L & W Sports Communications new headsets. Following 12 months research and development the new PTT button has made the headset and microphone units the best on the market.
A mixture of new and existing customers have purchased the new earhook style headset / microphone and have been further impressed with the design modifications. The new earhook model has a malleable wire moulded into the earhook to allow the user to custom fit the hook to any size ear. Coupled with the adjustable earpad and new curley cord for flexibility around the neck, the new earhook model provides the absolute best retention and comfort over the ear. With the addition of the new large Push to talk button and fully adjustable belt/vest clip the L & W Sports Communications earhook is second to none.
The new L & W Sports Communications airtube headset / microphone combines all the features of our elite headset speaker with its crystal clear audio, comfortable airtube extention, and large push to talk button to make it the premium headset microphone on the market today. Heavy duty 4mm cable from the connector provides a stable solid platform for the PTT and the flexible 2.5mm cable ensures flexibility in all the right places.
The addition of the silastic ear mould insert compliments the airtube design further.
For first time, everytime, clear sports communications, L & W Sports Communications is the answer.

NSW Junior Representatives trial nears
completion.
L & W Sports Communications have been supplying the NSW Rugby League Junior Representative competition referees with communications equipment for the Harold Matthews and SG Ball competitions.
Chosen against our major competitor because of the ability to provide full duplex digitally-encrypted radio communications, L & W Sports Communications have now demonstrated the flexibility and ease of use that comes with a system that does not require a technician to operate.
We were able to integrate our system with a referee coach and the video services provided by Sports Recording Services (SRS) and demonstrate that expensive out-dated radio systems with base stations for full duplex capability are a thing of the past. The added security of digital encryption ensures an interruption-free broadcast, something our competitors simply cannot match.
With the addition of this system to our extensive range we can now cater for all levels of on field communincation from under 7's to 1st Grade and National Competitions in any code.
